With nearly two decades of experience in estate planning, estate and trust administration, and elder law, Chari M. Alson brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her practice. Since 2003, Chari has been serving clients in Pennsylvania with integrity and compassion.
Chari's commitment to her profession is evident through her active involvement in various professional associations and committees. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Elder Law Section and is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys (PAELA) Public Policy Committee. Additionally, she co-chairs the Elder Law Committee of the Delaware County Bar Association and sits on the board of the Chester County Estate Planning Council.
As a recognized authority in elder law, Chari has contributed significantly to the field through her editorial roles and publications. She co-edited the 7th edition of the Delaware County Elder Law Handbook and Resource Guide (2020) and contributed as an author to Elder Law in Pennsylvania, Chapter 3, Planning for Incapacity–Financial Issues (5th ed. PBI Press). Chari also serves as a co-Editor of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Elder Law Section Newsletter and as a member of the NAELA News Editorial Board.
Chari's dedication to education extends beyond her legal practice. She frequently lectures for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute on topics related to Elder Law and Estate Planning and shares her expertise with other professional education seminars and community groups.
With a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation from the American Bankers Association (ABA), Chari brings a unique perspective to her practice, ensuring comprehensive solutions for her clients' needs. She is a proud member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Chari's academic background is equally impressive, with a juris doctor degree from Temple University, a Master's in Public Health, and a Gerontology Certificate from Boston University School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University–New Brunswick.
